New project saas tools

Tools to know better your users

Hotjar, to know the behavior of your customers, users or readers

If you are looking for things like: online heatmap software or record user sessions

We tried mouseflow and now we are with Hotjar. It does not only offer you free  heat maps so you can see clearly the areas of your page that most interest the user. But also records the sessions of the users that visit your web so that you see how they have interacted with it. We would highlight the following:

  • It’s free (with limits)
  • Record user sessions
  • Heatmaps
  • Conversion funnels
  • It’s multi-domain

Yes, many functionalities already have them with google analytics, but everything complements to its unique value that is the recording of the behavior of your users. If you want to know how to improve buttons or call to action on your website this is a good tool.

Typeform, to know user’s opinion of your new project

If you are looking for: online survey, test for the user, how to integrate a survey in my web

Typeform have been on our list of favorite applications for years. It is easy and perfect for those who want to know the opinion of the users with a unique value: you really feel like filling out the form.

It finishes with the seriousness of the typical forms and invites you  or rather your users to fill them with fun.

Tools of internal organization or self-organization

Taiga, to manage the development of the project, equipment and incidents

If you are looking for: scrum software, free jira, project management tool, kanban software

Yes, we are based on agile because we know it very well and it works for us. We struggled to find a free tool that had the basics of the agile module from Jira and was intuitive. And where we could also edit and save documents. Taiga convinced us by:

  • It’s free (a private project)
  • Easy to use and intuitive
  • Kanban and scrum panels with epics, user stories and tasks
  • Issues with typology associated as improvement, incidence, etc.
  • A basic but sufficient section of the Wiki for the documentation of the equipment
  • Different team roles that vote for the difficulty of their specialty (front-end, design, etc.)

Although you are few on the team is a good tool that includes comments, assignment of tasks and the like. The only thing we miss is a task completion date.

Marketing tools and social networks

Canva, for the basic marketing of your new project

If you are looking for: software twitter, software to make infographics, edit image online, campaign

This discovery was wonderful. Canva does that although you do not have artistic gifts you make covers of Facebook, Twitter, announcements and any design very worthy.

  • It’s free
  • Free templates, elements, icons and a photo bank
  • Very easy customization of your designs
  • Export in PNG, jpg
  • Infographics templates

Buffer, for the management of social networks

I do not know if you have ever looked for any term related to what this tool does, but basically it is, among many other things, a social network content planner.

Buffer is well known for its distributed team and amazing organizational culture. But all that reflects perfectly on its product. We highlight:

  • It’s free (with limits on the number of social networks)
  • You can synchronize your accounts from twitter, Facebook, google +, Instagram and more social networks.
  • You can write content and schedule your posting. Carefree for days, even weeks of periodic content.
  • It analyzes which publications have worked best, potential users, hours …
  • It recommends us about the times in which it is better to publish

All Tools

All are multi-language, essential if you have a global strategy. It is important to say that what we highlight in this post is the use we give to each tool. Many of them offer many more things and have very complete plans. We have preferred, however, to share with you the basic and free functionalities because if that goes well, the rest is just adding value.
